Description
The page description contains embedded PostScript code (PostScript Form XObject).
Form XObjects are containers for graphic objects (including path objects, text objects, and recalculated images) in the PDF document. They allow a single description for complex objects that can appear multiple times in a document, such as background images or company logos.
Common Causes
Occurs in certain PostScript-based workflows combined with inappropriate settings.
Suggested Solutions
Depending on the printing interface, it may be possible to configure whether PS Form objects are allowed.
In Acrobat’s Print dialog, this can be adjusted by opening the "Advanced" section.
In the dialog box, you can then – if the printer supports PostScript – disable "Output PS Form Objects".
If you are using Acrobat Distiller to create the PDF from a PostScript file, the following option must also be enabled for the (unauthorized) embedding to occur. Please disable this option!
