1. How to find out which profile is required
Open www.duon-portal.de. Click on the top left header „DUON-Info“ and then enter the name of the magazine you are looking for in the search box. If in doubt write less of the name because if your search request deviates in spelling from the actual spelling the search won’t yield any results. Click on „Start search“ and then select the required magazine by double clicking on it in the search result box (certified titles are displayed in green, non certified titles in black).
Certified titles have different headers and one of them is „Profile“. Click on it and you will find the necessary profiles displayed on the right hand side. Please pay attention to the placement „Cover pages“ and „Inner pages“ in case they differ.
2. Unpack your profile
The profile is contained in a *.zip file. Unpack it with a corresponding tool like WinZip.
3. Install profile
Copy the *.icc file into one of the following folders:
- /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Color/Profiles/
You need to be an administrator of the computer in order to copy the files there. If you don’t have the rights of the administrator you may also copy the files in a private folder. In certain cases you need to create the folder manually /libray/colorSync/Profiles.
The installation may differ depending on the operating system. First try:
- Right click on the ICC-profile and then select „Install ICC-profile“.
If you have started the graphic program anew and the profile cannot be selected try this:
Check if you didn´t forgot to copy the .icc files to any of the folders.
Copy the ICC-file into
- Windows > System32 > Spool > Drivers > Color
The folder Windows can be found on the system partition (usually \c:). The path is valid for NT, 2000, XP, Vista, Win 7. Older systems like 98 or ME use the following path: Windows > System >Color)
